CCRS Research Associates, Mr. Moeung Cheery and Khan Menghok wrote an op-ed piece on “Has ASEAN Failed to Resolve the Myanmar Issues?” on 28 May 2024, published in Cambodianess.
They argue that the effectiveness of the ASEAN-led peace initiative in Myanmar is questioned due to escalating unrest, lack of progress on the 5-Point Consensus, diverging interests among member states, and external pressures.
