From 6-8 May 2026, at the invitation of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), Amb. Pou Sothirak, Distinguished Senior Advisor to CCRS, attend the ASEAN for the Peoples Week in Cebu, the Philippines. As part of this event, Amb. Pou was invited to speak at the Track 1.5 ASEAN Community Building Forum. He shared his perspectives in session 2: Navigating the Next World Order: ASEAN’s Relevancy, Role, and Agency, particularly Can ASEAN Navigate the next Word Order?

Amb. Pou also was invited to share his perspectives during the ASEAN Community Town Hall of which he spoke of the key expectations of CLMV on ASEAN today and how can ASEAN ensure that development and opportunities are more inclusive across all member states. At 60 years old by next year, ASEAN is less energetic, slow, sometimes complacent, but the bloc needs to enhance its ability to address long-standing issues internally and externally that threatens its relevance in the safeguarding of peace, stability, prosperity, inclusive and sustainable development in the entire Southeast Asia.
